Abstract:
With atrial fibrillation (AF), metabolic remodeling can occur in the atrium and promote the occurrence and persistence of AF. The two mutually promote, forming a vicious spiral, further aggravating the AF. Research shows that β3 adrenergic receptor (β3-AR) is closely related to the myocardial electrical remodeling and structural remodeling of AF, but there have been relatively few reports concerning the effect of β3-AR on myocardial energy metabolism remodeling of AF. This review explores the relationship between β3-AR and myocardial energy metabolism remodeling of AF in order to find new targets for clinical treatment of AF.
