Abstract: Establishing the 8-year medical education program is a major reform to improve the quality of medical education in China. However, current clinical practice teaching systems in Departments of Cardiology for 8-year program (8y-pro) medical students remains to be improved. Recently, some 8y-pro medical students of the Fourth Military Medical University received clinical practice training for 1 month at the Thomas Jefferson University, one of the most famous medical schools in the U.S. According to their training gains and our teaching experience, we aimed to demonstrate how to further improve the quality and the efficacy of clinical practice training programs for 8y-pro medical students in Departments of Cardiology in China.
