Abstract: Indepth investigation has been conducted in the pathophysiological mechanisms of development and progression of heart failure (HF) and many new HF biomarkers have been discovered, which play a key role in the prevention, diagnosis, risk stratification, therapy and prognostic evaluation of HF. Nowadays, new knowledge of traditional biomarkers and the search for novel biomarkers become the focus of researchers’ attention. This article reviews the latest research and progress of biomarkers in HF.
