Abstract:
AIM To investigate the different expression and clinical significance of miRNA-137 between patients with acute coronary syndrome and subjects without coronary artery lesions.
METHODS Collection of plasma of ACS patients (Non-CHD,
n=68) and subjects without coronary artery lesions (
n=32) was performed. The plasma miRNA-137 expression was tested by qRT-PCR. Differential expression was analyzed statistically. Analysis of correlation between miRNA-137 and the measured data, including CK-MB, cTnI,BNP, SYNTAX score and LVEF.
RESULTS miRNA-137 of ACS was significant higher than that of the Non-CHD group (
P<0.05); Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that miRNA-137 was an independent related factor of ACS (
P<0.01); Correlation analysis showed that miRNA-137 was positively associated with BNP and cTnI.There were no statistical differences among the different vessel groups of miRNA-137. In addition, not all of the groups of SYNTAX score had the same expression of miRNA-137.
CONCLUSION The miRNA-137 is an independent related factor of ACS which may be used to reflect severity of ACS. Additionally, it may be a potential biomarker of ACS.
