Abstract: Risk prediction models have gained increasing attention for their identification of individuals at high risk of developing hypertension. This paper provides a comprehensive review of the current research status of hypertension risk prediction models both domestic and international. It further classifies and analyzes these models from three aspects: modeling methods, target populations and predictive factors. By exploring the strengths and weaknesses of the existing models and identifying future research priorities, this study aims to assist healthcare professionals and patients in understanding and selecting better targeted hypertension prediction models. This will serve as a basis for early identification of high-risk individuals susceptible to hypertension and facilitate personalized prevention, diagnosis and treatment.
