Abstract
Sepsis is one of the most serious infections with significant morbidity and mortality. Sepsis results in many physiological and pathophysiological consequences, incluidng a protective effect on glucose-insulin-potassium pathways critically linked to myocardial infarction. This article reviews the protective effect of glucose-insulin-potassium on sepsis-induced myocardial injury.
