Clinical analysis of coronary perfusion pressure in patients with different classified cardiomyopathies with chronic congestive heart failure

    • AIM:To study coronary perfusion in dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) and ischemic cardiomyopathy (ICM) with chronic systolic heart failure. METHODS: Ultrasound examinations were performed in two groups with mild aortic regurgitation: DCM group (n=40) and ICM group (n=40). Left ventricular end-diastolic dimension (LVEDd), ejection fraction (EF), left ventricular end-diastolic pressure (LVEDP) and coronary perfusion pressure were compared between groups. RESULTS: There were no differences in cardiac structure, function and coronary perfusion pressure between DCM group and ICM group. CONCLUSION: Patients with ischemic cardiomyopathy or nonischemic cardiomyopathy plus systolic heart failure have low coronary perfusion pressure without demonstrating any significant differences between them.
