Research progress in arrhythmias after acute myocardial infarction

Arrhythmia is one of the complications of myocardial infarction and 50 percent of myocardial infarction survivors die of malignant arrhythmias. The presence of arrhythmia affects the prognosis of patients with myocardial infarction. Good understanding of the occurrence of arrhythmias after myocardial infarction, its related factors, its prevention, and therapy is of significant clinical significance. This manuscript reviews types, mechanism, prevention, and therapy of arrhythmias after myocardial infarction.
