    Multimedia-aided case studies and problem-based learning in instruction of students about myocardial infarction

    • Because clinical manifestations of myocardial infarction (MI) are diverse, differential diagnosis of MI is complex and involves multiple systems. To explore an effective method of MI teaching is essential to the training for cardiovascular clinicians. Multimedia-aided case studies adopt audio/video materials to present clinical cases. Multimedia-aided case studies combined with problem-based learning (PBL) learning can fully arouse students subjective initiative, stimulate students interest in acquiring knowledge, explore students own potential and help students better understand the pathogenesis, diagnosis and treatment principles of MI. In conclusion, multimedia-aided case studies combined with PBL can improve the quality of teaching.
