Research progress in H-hypertension

Most cases of hypertension in China are associated with increased levels of homocysteine. Homocysteine results from the metabolism of methionine and the elevated level of homocysteine is an important risk factor for many diseases. The definition, epidemiology, pathogenesis, hazards, and treatment of H-hypertension will be summarized in this article.
