Association between interleukin-10 gene 1 082G/A polymorphism and acute coronary syndrome

AIM:To investigate the association between interleukin-10 (IL-10) gene 1 082G/A polymorphism and acute coronary syndrome (ACS) in Chinese Han population of the Changzhou region of Southern Jiangsu. METHODS: Four hundred and seventy-one ACS patients and 197 control subjects were recruited in the study. The polymorphism was genotyped by gene sequencing. RESULTS: GG, AG and AA existed in both ACS group and control group. Compared with those in control group, genotypes and alleles in ACS group showed no statistical differences and multivariate logistic regression analysis also showed no correlation. CONCLUSION: The IL-10 gene polymorphism is not associated with ACS in Chinese Han population of Changzhou region of Southern Jiangsu.
