Abstract
AIM:To explore the value of tissue mitral annular displacement (TMAD) in assessment of left ventricular synchronization in patients with chronic heart failure (CHF). METHODS: Thirtythree patients with CHF and 25 healthy volunteers were enrolled in this study. Tmsv16SD of left ventricle and the time of mitral annular displacement to peak were measured using the QLAB81 software at six sites (anteroseptal, posteroseptal, anterior, lateral, posterior and inferior). Standard deviation of the time to peak was calculated. Tmsv16SD and TPSD of the two groups were compared and the correlation between Tmsv16SD and TPSD was analyzed. RESULTS: Compared with those in control group, TPSD and Tmsv16SD in CHF group significantly increased (P<005) and Tmsv16SD and TPSD was positively correlated. CONCLUSION: TMAD is a new method for the assessment of left ventricular synchronization in patients with CHF.
