Methods to identify origin site of ventricular arrhythmias from right ventricular outflow tract

    • Radiofrequency catheter ablation has been used as an effective and safe procedure for the treatment of idiopathic arrhythmias of the right ventricular outflow tract. Several methods have been used to identify the origin site of right ventricular outflow tract arrhythmias including pacing mapping, local activation time, unipolar electrogram morphology, local voltage potentials and reversed polarity of bipolar electrograms. Combined use of the above-mentioned methods can increase accuracy in identifying the local origin site and enhance the success rate of eliminating the ventricular arrhythmias.
