    MicroRNA and cardiac stem cell therapy

    • Cardiac stem cell therapy for cardiovascular disease has become a well-publicized research area with the increasing incidence of cardiovascular disease. miRNA is an important regulatory factor in the development of cardiovascular and pathophysiological processes and the disease process. The study of cardiac-specific miRNAs such as miR-1, miR-133, miRNA-208, miRNA-21, miR-499, miR-155, miR-146b, and miRNA-126 has made some progress. These cardiac-specific miRNAs play an integral role in collaboration with cardiac stem cells in the treatment of cardiovascular diseases. In this article, we summarized the functions of miRNAs in the process of cardiac stem cell therapy for cardiovascular diseases.
