AIM:To explore the value of body surface electrocardiogram (ECG) in the differential diagnosis and localization of narrow QRS wave tachycardia (NQRST). METHODS: One hundred and fifty-two NQRST patients were included in the study, among whom 94 were cases of atrioventricular nodal reentrant tachycardia (AVNRT), 42 cases of atrioventricular reentrant tachycardia (AVRT) and 16 cases of atrial tachycardia (AT). Electrophysiological mechanisms of these patients were confirmed by electrophysiological examinations, and sinus rhythm and tachycardia ECG index changes were analyzed and compared, including heart rate; ST-T changes; QRS wave alternans; R-P′/P′-R
