Cox regression analysis of factors for rehospitalization death of senile patients with chronic heart failure

    • AIM: To explore the influential factors for rehospitalization death of senile patients with chronic heart failure. METHODS: Single factor analysis was conducted in 16 items among 38 patients (104 hospitalization episodes) with chronic heart failure. Cox regression model was employed to analyze the multi-factors influencing the rehospitalization death. RESULTS: Single factor analysis showed that age, number of diseased organs, NYHA level, Cr, blood glucose and onset time of CHF were influential factors for rehospitalization death of senile patients with chronic heart failure. COX regression analysis showed that age, number of diseased organs, Cr and blood glucose were the main influential factors for rehospitalization death. CONCLUSION: The main factors influencing the death of senile patients with CHF is the patient's age, number of diseased systems, renal function and blood glucose.
