Abstract
AIM To explore the relative factors and social support status of patients with positive response of head-up tilt-table test (HUTT). METHODS A total of 71 patients with unexplained syncope underwent HUTT in our department from November 2011 to March 2014. Basic information was asked and social support rating scale was completed in all patients. Height, weight, and circumferences of neck, chest, waist, abdomen, hip and calf were measured for correlation analysis with experimental results. RESULTS The positive factors of HUTT were not found in adult patients. The score of social support rating scale (34 ± 8) in patients with positive HUTT response was significantly lower than the domestic norm (44±8), with statistical significance (P<0.01). CONCLUSION Positive HUTT and observed factors were not found to be associated, and patients with positive results reported lower scores in social support rating scale.
