Relative factors in patients with acute myocardial infarction complicated by heart rupture

    • AIM To analyze the related factors of acute myocardial infarction (AMI) in patients with cardiac rupture. METHODSIncluded in this study were 28 patients with echocardiographic evidence of cardiac rupture out of the 1129 patients diagnosed with AMI from January 2007─December 2014 in our Emergency Department. Relevant clinical factors for AMI complicated by heart rupture were analyzed. RESULTSAge, serum creatine kinase (CK), brain natriuretic peptide (BNP), left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF), ST elevation amplitude, gender and the position of AMI were all of significance for AMI in patients with cardiac rupture (all P<0.05). CONCLUSIONAdvanced age, female gender significantly, increased BNP levels, significantly lower LVEF levels and markedly increased ST elevation amplitude are all independent related factors for patients with AMI complicated by heart rupture.
