Relationship between the level of TIPE2 mRNA and level of monocyte chemotactic factor 1, matrix metalloproteinases 9 in patients with coronary heart disease

    • AIM:To observe and analyze the relationship between tumor necrosis factor-α induced protein 8 like 2 (TIPE2) level, monocyte chemotactic factor-1 (MCP-1) and matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9) in patients with coronary heart disease (CHD). METHODS: One hundred coronary heart disease patient specimens were used for detection of TIPE2 expression and the level of MCP-1 and MMP-9 in serum. The study comprised patients who had coronary angiography from 2010-12 to 2011-11 and 30 patients served as the control group during the same period. The CHD group was divided into three subgroups: single lesion group (34), double lesion group (33), and multivessel lesion group (33). RESULTS: ① TIPE2 mRNA expression level in peripheral blood mononuclear cell: Compared with non-CHD group, the level of TIPE2 mRNA expression was significantly reduced in CHD group. TIPE2 level in double lesion group was lower than in the single lesion group. In the multivessel lesion group it was lower than in the single lesion group and double branch lesion group. TIPE2 level was significantly lower with statistically significant differences (P<0.01). ② TIPE2 level was negatively related to the level of MCP-1 and MMP-9. The correlation coefficient, respectively, was r=0.560, r=0.569, P<0.05). CONCLUSION: The level of TIPE2 in patients with CHD decreased with the increase of the coronary pathological changes vascular count and is negatively correlated with the level of MCP-1 and MMP-9.
