Radial artery homeostasis device in transradial coronary intervention

    • AIM: To evaluate the safety and effect of radial artery homeostasis device “RDP700(800)” after transradial coronary artery intervention. METHODS: Six hundred patients treated with transradial coronary intervention were divided into two groups: RDP700(800) group (400 cases) and bandaging group (200 cases). Homeostasis effect, homeostasis surgical time, homeostasis consumption time, bleeding accident in the first 2 h, complication rate and discharge time were compared between groups. RESULTS: No serious complications were found in either group but the homeostasis surgical time, oppression time and in-hospital days after operation in RDP700(800) group were shorter than those in bandaging group. CONCLUSION: The radial artery homeostasis device RDP700(800) is safe and effective.
