Abstract
Research on family members and structure and function of zinc finger protein 36 (ZFP36) was reviewed. Studies have shown that ZFP36 as a post-transcriptional regulatory factor is involved in a variety of biological functions including the development of its important role in inflammation, metabolic syndrome and tumorigenesis, and that ZFP36 gene is an important candidate gene for obesity-related metabolic syndrome.
