Progress in application of two-dimensional speckle tracking technology in assessment of left ventricle systolic function

    • Two-dimensional speckle tracking technology is a newly developed imaging technology in quantifying the motion of the heart. By identifying the spatial motion of myocardial acoustic speckle, two-dimensional speckle tracking technology can acquire the quantitative parameters of the myocardial motion and thus assesses the global and regional systolic functions of the left ventricle. This review introduces the progress in application of this new technology in assessment of left ventricular systolic functions.
