    • Atherosclerosis( AS) is a complex pathologic process involving many factors. Perivascular adipose tissue( PVAT) surrounding blood vessels not only provides vascular support but also has an active secretory function. By regulating blood vessel functions “from exterior to interior ”by secreting various bioactive substances,PVAT is involved in the pathological process of AS.
