Abstract
With the rapid development of coronary artery interventional therapy, contrast media is used more and more widely, but contrast-induced acute kidney injury( CI-AKI) ranks as the third reason for hospital-acquired acute renal failure with a yearly increase in the incidence and mortality rate. Although more studies have been conducted on the pathogenesis and clinical risk of acute renal injury induced by the contrast factors,CI-AKI is still an important clinical problem due to lack of an effective strategy for the prevention of CI-AKI. This article will focus on the recent research progress in the diagnosis, pathogenesis, risk factors, and prevention strategies of CI-AKI.
