Application and outlook of artificial intelligence in basic cardiovascular research
-
Abstract
Cardiovascular diseases remain the leading cause of death globally. Current basic research is predominantly concentrated on elucidating disease mechanisms, identifying potential therapeutic targets, and developing innovative pharmacological interventions. With the ongoing advancement and expansion of research, cutting-edge technologies such as omics and the scale of related data are developing rapidly. Therefore, it is crucial to develop efficient methods for mining potential information from these datasets and for integrating existing databases. In recent years, the government has actively promoted the development of artificial intelligence. As artificial intelligence evolves both conceptually and technologically, its significance at the forefront of research continues to grow, addressing some limitations of existing research models. This paper reviews the current status of artificial intelligence and its applications in research frontiers of cardiovascular diseases, and discusses the challenges and future directions of artificial intelligence in the field.
