Research progress in anti-ventricular remodeling mechanism of cardiac kinase/phosphocreatine system

    • Creatine kinase (CK) is one of the important catalytic enzymes in myocardial energy metabolism and plays an important role in the transfer of high-energy phosphate groups of phosphocreatine and adenosine triphosphate. The energy buffer system composed of CK and phosphocreatine has a good anti-ventricular remodeling effect and the specific mechanism includes regulating the production and utilization of ATP by affecting the activity of mitochondrial interactors and respiratory chain complexes, regulating oxidative stress by acting on ROS and antioxidants, and affecting apoptosis by regulating apoptotic factors. However, creatine supplementation or activation of CK has a certain improvement effect on ventricular remodeling and drugs targeting the creatine kinase network may be the direction of ventricular remodeling therapy in the future.
