Role and research progress of Adipsin in cardiovascular diseases
-
Abstract
Adipsin is a serine protease homolog synthesized and secreted primarily by adipocytes. Adipsin has multiple protective effects in cardiovascular diseases such as atherosclerosis/metabolic abnormalities-related cardiovascular diseases. This review expounds the role and specific molecular mechanisms of Adipsin in different types of cardiovascular diseases. The present review may provide new therapeutic targets for the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases.
