AIM To explore the application of diversified teaching mode of eletrocardiography in standardized training for residents in the Department of Cardiac Function.
METHODS Residents on a one-month-long rotation in our department in 2022 and 2023 were included for the eletrocardiography (ECG) standardized training and they were divided into two groups: 2022 group (n=42) and 2023 group (n=48). A diversified teaching mode was adopted for 2023 group , while the 2022 group was taught in accordance with traditional ECG teaching and training plan. After the rotation, the two groups were given tests of ECG theory, operation and ECG interpretation, and a survey of satisfaction questionnaire was conducted.
RESULTS The results of all the tests and the survey in the 2023 group were higher than those in the 2022 group (P<0.05, P<0.01).
CONCLUSION Diversified teaching mode improves the quality and effect of ECG training for residents.
