Role and research progress of autophagy in pulmonary hypertension

Pulmonary hypertension is a progressive and serious disease of the pulmonary vascular system. It is characterized by increased pulmonary vascular resistance and pulmonary vascular remodeling, with right heart failure or death as the end point. In particular, it seriously threatens the health of officers and soldiers stationed at high altitudes in China. In recent years, studies have found that pulmonary hypertension is regulated by a variety of autophagy-related pathways. This review mainly expounds the important autophagy-related proteins, and briefly introduces the treatment plan based on this.
