    Research progress on role of protein succinylation modification in cardiovascular disease

    • Succinylation modification is an emerging post-translational modification of proteins, which is widely present in living organisms and is involved in a variety of life activities such as cell differentiation and metabolism. Succinylation is closely related to a variety of diseases including cardiovascular diseases and is therefore a current research hotspot. This paper reviews the basic concepts and functions of succinylation, the regulated sites of action and the influencing factors, and summarizes the relationship between succinylation modifications and several common cardiovascular diseases, so as to further understand the important role of succinylation in a variety of physiopathology.
