Correlation between high opening of left coronary artery and distribution of left coronary artery plaque and myocardial ischemia caused by stenosis

    •   AIM  To study the CT angiography (CTA) findings of the high opening of left coronary artery and its correlation with plaque distribution and stenosis of left coronary artery.
METHODS  A retrospective analysis was conducted in 84 patients respectively in the high opening group and the normal opening group, and the distribution of basic clinical data, the number of left coronary artery plaque and the distribution of coronary artery stenosis caused by plaque were studied. The two groups of patients were grouped according to stenosis and the value of CT blood flow reserve fraction (CT-FFR) was compared.
RESULTS  The diagnosis of 84 patients with high opening was clear. Between the two groups, There was no significant difference in clinical basic data, the number of plaque distribution, the distribution of plaque in LAD and LCX, and LAD and LCX myocardial ischemia.
CONCLUSION  There is no significant corre- lation between the high opening of left coronary artery and the formation of plaque and the distribution of stenosis of left coronary artery. The left coronal high opening is a benign anatomic variation without myocardial ischemia.
