    Progress in effect of acupoint stimulation on cardiovascular deconditioning induced by weightlessness and its mechanism

    • Weightlessness during space flight causes cardiovascular deconditioning which is one of the main factors threatening the health and safety of astronauts. The development of new protective countermeasures will effectively enhance space medical service capabilities. Recent studies have shown that acupoint stimulation can partially counteract cardiovascular deconditioning induced by simulated weightlessness and maintain orthostatic tolerance. This paper briefly presents the progress of the study on the mechanism and countermeasures of cardiovascular deconditioning induced by weightlessness, focuses on the theoretical basis of the protective effect of weightlessness based on acupoint stimulation and summarizes the experimental research of acupoint stimulation against weightlessness-induced cardiovascular deconditioning. This paper has certain theoretical significance for further clarifying the mechanism of weightlessness-induced cardiovascular deconditioning and developing new countermeasures.
