Visual analysis of arrhythmia in traditional Chinese medicine research based on CiteSpace

  AIM  To explore the core and frontier information of traditional Chinese medicine research on arrhythmia and provide reference for follow-up research.

  METHODS  With “arrhythmia” as the key word, 1,610 pieces of literature related to arrhythmia in traditional Chinese medicine research retrieved from the China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) were visually analyzed using CiteSpace software and the core of the research and research frontiers was discussed.

  RESULTS  The research on arrhythmia in traditional Chinese medicine mainly focused on bradyarrhythmia, Zhigancao Tang and aconitine. In the future, research on arrhythmia in traditional Chinese medicine should be based on evidence-based medicine research, cell molecular research and Chinese medicinal herbal research.

  CONCLUSION  The treatment of bradyarrhythmia by traditional Chinese medicine takes an important position in the field of arrhythmic research in traditional Chinese medicine. In the future, the research on the mechanism of traditional Chinese medicinal herbs in the treatment of arrhythmia should go deep into the cellular, even molecular level, and the development of traditional Chinese medicine should focus on evidence-based medicine.
