AIM To explore the influence of the ideological and political teaching reform of cardiovascular system nursing on the humanistic quality of nursing undergraduates.
METHODS From October 2019 to December 2019, a total of 277 nursing undergraduates enrolled in 2017 from a university in Xi’an were selected as research objects. One hundred and twenty-eight nursing students from four classes were assigned to experimental group, using the ideological and political teaching reform of the cardiovascular system, and 149 nursing students from four classes were assigned to control group, using traditional teaching methods. Before and after the implementation, the humanistic quality of the two groups was compared.
RESULTS After the implementation of the course reform, the respective scores of the three dimensions of legal quality, aesthetic quality and psychological quality, and the total scores in experimental group were (20±4), (32±5), (41±5) and (163±18), respectively, higher than (19±3), (31±4), (40±5) and (159±17) in control group. The differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05, P < 0.01). The process assessment results, chapter test scores and total scores of the course in experimental group were (68±6), (85±5) and (75±5), respectively, higher than (65±10), (83±8) and (72±8) in control group. The differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05, P < 0.01).
