Advances in research and application of multimodal image fusion in heart diseases

    • Multi-mode image fusion technology, a major technical breakthrough in the development of medical imaging, aims to give full play to the advantages of medical images of different imaging modes and produce more accurate images using computer image mosaic technology, thus to achieve their complementary advantages. Heart multimodal fusion image is a unity of anatomical, morphological and functional data obtained by noninvasive imaging technologies for deeper and more accurate research of coronary heart disease, valvular heart disease, cardiac resynchronization therapy and heart ablation, as well as for accurate diagnosis and prognosis. In summary, this article reviews research progress of multimodal image fusion in cardiac diagnosis and treatment.
