Relationship between nutritional screening and short-term prognosis in patients with heart failure

    • AIMUsing biochemical parameters (serum albumin and cholesterol levels) and immune parameter parameters (total lymphocyte counts) to assess nutritional status, studies to control whether nutritional status can predict the relationship between short-term prognosis in patients with heart failure (HF).
METHODS873 hospitalized patients with heart failure were selected, and 505 patients were included in the trial. Among them, 36 patients were transferred to the hospital, and 469 patients were observed from the beginning to the end. These 469 patients were divided into death groups according to their prognosis (n=17). And the relief discharge group (n=452), volunteered to cooperate with the experimental study, and assessed the nutritional status of the patient by controlling the nutritional status score.
RESULTSUnivariate analysis showed that the control nutritional status scores of hospitalized patients were significantly higher than those of patients with disease remission (P<0.05). Multivariate analysis showed that malnutrition score was an independent predictor of prognosis in patients with HF (P<0.05).
CONCLUSIONNutrition screening can predict short-term prognosis in hospitalized patients with heart failure.
