Research progress in pathophysiological mechanism in cardiorenal syndrome

    • The traditional definition of cardiorenal syndrome (CRS) is a series of pathological changes when chronic failure causes progressive renal injury, diuretic resistance, heart volume overload and, finally, worsening of heart failure. With additional research, the definition range of CRS has been greatly extended. The pathogenesis of CRS is complex and still remains unclear. This review presents recent research progress in pathophysiological mechanisms for CRS.
