Social support status of treadmill exercise testing in patients with suspicion of coronary heart disease

    • AIM:To explore the social support status of treadmill exercise testing (TET) in patients with suspected coronary heart disease (CHD). METHODS: A total of 109 outpatients and inpatients received TET and completed the questionnaire. Features and social support status were studied and analyzed. RESULTS: The scores of objective support, subjective support, support availability and total social support were significantly lower than those of the domestic national norm (P<0.01). CONCLUSION: The current social support status of TET is not satisfactory. Additional health education should be targeted to persons with different backgrounds and correct and positive coping styles should be applied to gain more effective support.
