Studies on approaches of human albumin covering decellularized fiber tissue

    • AIM:To observe the approach of human albumin covering decellularized fiber tissue. METHODS: Human albumin was penetrated into decellularized porcine pulmonary fiber scaffolds by the method of “dewatering and soaking.” We next examined the similarities and differences of physical features between decellularized tissue and human albumin-decellularized tissue. The effects of human albumin covering decellularized tissue were evaluated by immunohistochemical methods. RESULTS: Using the “dewatering and soaking” method, human albumin could effectively combine with decellularized porcine pulmonary fiber scaffolds. Human albumin completely covered decellularized tissue. CONCLUSION: Using the “dewatering and soaking” method, human albumin may effectively combine with decellularized porcine pulmonary fiber scaffolds. Human albumin-decellularized tissue was superior in physical features to decellularized tissue.
