Advances in mechanisms of cold-induced hypertension

    • Hypertension is a common cardiovascular disease and a major public health problem worldwide. In recent years, more and more investigators have focused attention on the influence of low temperature on hypertension and achieved progress in this research. In this paper we review the related mechanism of low temperature-induced and aggravated hypertension, including neuroendocrine,BKCa,oxidative stress, endothelial function, inflammation, and mineralocorticoid receptor. The discussion of its pathological mechanism will provide the theoretical basis for prevention and treatment.
