    Research progress of NLRP3 inflammasome in myocardial remodeling

    • NLRP3 inflammasome is an important multi protein signal platform, which is closely related to the inflammatory response. It can coordinate the host’s antibacterial defense, activate caspase-1, mature the pro-inflammatory factors (such as IL-1 β and IL-18) and cause apoptosis and other pathological changes. In recent years, it has been reported that assembled and activated NLRP3 inflammasome is closely related to many risk factors of cardiovascular diseases (such as hypertension, diabetes, obesity etc) NLPP3 inflammasome may be an important trigger or an endogenous regulator of these diseases and participate in the pathological process of myocardial remodeling, which lays a foundation for exploring new treatment strategies for myocardial remodeling. This review summarizes the current researches on the relationship between NLRP3 inflammasome and myocardial remodeling.
