Abstract:
AIM: To observe the changes of heart function and its underlying mechanism after acute myocardial infarction in rats. METHODS: Rats were treated for 7 days, 0.5 h daily, 2/day with infrasound therapy apparatus. The ultrastructure of rat myocardium, contents of NO and NET-1 in rat plasma and heart function were observed. RESULTS: Compared with control group, ultrastructual damage of rat myocardium in infrasound treatment group was attenuated, contents of NO in rat plasma werr significantly increased (P<0.01), contents of ENT-1 in rat plasma was significantly decreased (P<0.01), and the heart function of rats was significantly improved (P<0.01). CONCLUSION: Rat heart function following infarction can be improved with infrasound treatment.
