Abstract:
AIM To explore the effect of case-based learning (CBL) combined with lecture-based learning (LBL) in teaching courses on Military Labor Hygiene.
METHODS A total of 224 students majoring in 5-year clinical medicine were selected and randomly divided into control group (112 students) and experimental group (112 students). For course on the influence of military physical labor on cardiovascular functions, the control group adopted traditional LBL teaching mode, while the experimental group adopted CBL combined with LBL teaching mode. At the end of the course, the teaching effect was evaluated by comparing the results of in-class test and questionnaire survey of students.
RESULTS The scores of CBL+LBL group were significantly higher than those of control group (P<0.01). The questionnaire survey results showed that the students’ evaluation of the teaching effect of CBL mode was significantly higher than that of traditional LBL mod(P<0.01 or P<0.05).
CONCLUSION CBL combined with LBL improve the teaching effect and students’ test scores in the course on effect of military physical labor on cardiovascular functions. It is a direction worth exploring in the teaching mode research for military labor hygiene courses.
